What to expect

Start by meeting your guide in Russell Square. From there, you'll enter the British Museum and discover the most famous exhibits, including the Rosetta Stone and the Easter Island statue. Uncover the Elgin Marbles that once decorated an ancient Greek temple, the Parthenon. Hear stories from your guide about the Brazilian Crystal Skull and the Enlightenment Room. Afterwards, continue exploring the world-class exhibits at your own pace with an audio guide app. See artworks from Rembrandt, Holbein and Leonardo da Vinci. And don’t forget to visit the ancient Egyptian rooms, where you’ll step into the world of the pharaohs…

• The British Museum is free for all to enter. Your package includes a guided tour, priority entry, an audio guide app and a donation to the British Museum
• You must meet your guide to receive priority entry into the museum
• Headsets are provided for the guided tour, but please bring your own headphones to enjoy the audio guide in your own time
• Items that are not permitted include: large bags heavier than 8kg, wheeled cases, folding bicycles and more. Visit the British Museum website for a full list of prohibited items
• Pushchairs are permitted on-site. Fold-up prams and buggies can be left free of charge in the cloakroom
• Cloakroom fees include: coats £2, bags up to 4kg £2.50, bags 4-8kg £5, umbrellas £1
