What to expect
See the Mekong Delta beyond the postcards. We time the day for sunrise at Cai Rang Floating Market, arriving as trading boats buzz with sellers of pineapples, noodles and coffee. Breakfast is served from a market boat so you can eat like a local. After the market, switch to a small sampan to explore quiet back canals, stop at a family rice-noodle workshop to watch the craft and taste it fresh, and—if you wish—take an easy bicycle ride along village paths to meet people where they live and work. With expressway transfers, hotel pickup, and small-group or private options, you spend less time on the road and more time experiencing the real Delta.
