What to know before you go
The National Museum of Korea presents Korean archaeology, history, calligraphy, Buddhist art, ceramics, and other major collections in a large modern complex in Yongsan. It gives first-time visitors broad cultural context beyond Seoul's palace districts and works well as a substantial indoor stop when weather makes long outdoor sightseeing less appealing.
